After moving from South Florida to Southern Illinois, Carin found a love of yoga and the community there, which in turn inspired her to live a more natural and organic lifestyle. After discovering the co-op grocery store and farmer’s markets in Carbondale, she was hooked on the idea of supporting local farmers. Upon moving to Chicago, Carin was elated to discover the many options for local and organic products in different farmer’s markets, organic grocery stores and delivery services. Soon after moving to Villa Park in 2014, Carin discovered the Prairie Food Co-op and immediately became a member and interim board member. Carin is the Controller for a Chicago-based real estate investment firm and is excited to use her professional experience for a cause and organization she is truly passionate about.
