    Plastic Pollution and Community Solutions

Plastics are a problem. The versatility and durability of plastic have made it popular to use but problematic to avoid and properly discard, creating an abundance of single use plastic pollution. Join Jacquelyn Casazza, president and co-founder of Go Green Glen Ellyn and member of Beyond Plastics national volunteer speakers bureau, to learn more about the plastic pollution problem that is impacting our health and the health of the planet, and actions you can take at home and in our community!

    About Jacquelyn:

Community Organizer Jacquelyn Casazza's practical approach is to meet people where they are, inspiring personal awareness and action. She believes anyone can become an environmental advocate at any time, no matter where they are on their "green" journey.

She is the president and co-founder of Go Green Glen Ellyn, a community nonprofit with a mission to help residents and businesses be greener through education, advocacy, and volunteering. She is a certified member of the volunteer speakers bureau for Beyond Plastics, a national non profit working to end plastic pollution.  Jacquelyn also serves as an Issue Specialist on Waste for the League of Women Voters Illinois, and is an active and committed member of the Coalition for Plastic Reduction, which works to reduce single use plastic waste in Illinois through policy and legislation. Within Glen Ellyn, she serves as a Village of Glen Ellyn Environmental Commissioner and sits on the Glen Ellyn Park District Resident Environmental Advisory Board.  She is also a former PFC Board Member and PFC Owner!

Prior to her environmental work, she spent 16 years at Deloitte and holds a BS from Vanderbilt University. Jacquelyn and her husband live in Glen Ellyn, IL with their two school-age children.  When she’s not working to protect the planet, she loves to explore it through books, travel, and music.

    Order a Yard Sign

Show your Owner pride with a yard sign and pique the curiosity of your neighbors.

You can be one short conversation away from recruiting another Owner!

We would like to see a sign in every yard, so we are gladly giving yard signs to every willing Owner. Each sign costs us about $10 to produce, so please consider making a donation on the next screen to help alleviate the cost to the co-op. However, if you can't pitch in right now, that's OK too. The important thing is helping us spread the Prairie Food word.

Enter your address below and we will get a sign to your yard usually within a week!
