Now that the weather is finally starting to cooperate, we know many of us love taking our bicycles out on one of the many beautiful bike trails that surround us, but often our bikes could use a little maintenance before we hit those trails! While we recommend using a professional to tune up your bike, there are a few basic maintenance tips that everyone should know.
And what goes better with a bicycle ride than ICE CREAM!
So how great is it that Brian from Lombard's own Retro Glow Cycles is partnering with Prairie Food Co-op to offer a FREE basic bike maintenance workshop at the new ice cream and treats shop that everyone is talking about- The Creamery?
So come join Retro Glow Bicycle and Prairie Food Co-op at The Creamery on Sunday July 23rd at 2pm for a 1 hour presentation that will cover the ABC’s of bike maintenance. Use the ABC quick check method: Air, Brakes and Chain to keep your bike safe and fun to ride. You can bring your bike, but it's not mandatory.
The folks at The Creamery are excited about this event and have graciously allowed us to use the grassy lot to the east of their shop so make sure you stop by and grab a sweet or salty treat before or after the workshop! We know we will!
Plus, Retro Glow will be gifting a free, cool bike accesory to every attendee and have bike maintenance kits on hand for purchase!
**Please note, this is a basic bicycle maintenance workshop that will cover only the topics listed. If your bike is in need of repair, we encourage you to book a service dropoff at Retro Glow through the link above!
