This year, there are nine (9) positions up for election to the Prairie Food Co-op Board and eight (8) candidates. With so many new faces added to our candidate pool, we are impressed by the breadth of qualifications and diversity of experience they all bring to the table. Please check out each candidate and cast your vote!
Voting will begin at 6:00 a.m. Friday, May 22nd and will close at the conclusion of the PFC Annual Owners Meeting on June 4th.
All PFC Owners should have received an email ballot on May 22 with instructions on how to cast their vote. The email subject line is:
“You are invited to vote: 2026 Prairie Food Co-op Board of Directors Annual Election”
Please check your spam or promotions folder if you do not see it in your inbox. If you still cannot locate your ballot email, please email PFC Board Secretary Stephene Norwood.

Practicing Co-op Principle #2: Democratic Member Control
Cooperatives are democratic organizations controlled by their members, who actively participate in setting policies and making decisions. Representatives (directors/trustees) are elected among the membership and are accountable to them. In primary cooperatives, members have equal voting rights (one member, one vote); cooperatives at other levels are organized in a democratic manner.
