Why are you interested in serving on the Prairie Food Board of Directors?

I am very invested and interested in seeing PFC succeed and would like to help in whatever capacity I can.

What experience, education, and skills do you have that you feel will contribute to your effectiveness as a Prairie Food Director?

I am an avid foodie, proponent of an organic and natural lifestyle, and a CPA. I have about 8 years of accounting experience across several industries and am looking forward to applying my knowledge to something I am truly passionate about.

What experiences have you had with food co-ops in the past?

I shopped at Neighborhood Co-op in Carbondale when I lived there. I met alot of owners and employees there and loved what it was all about. So naturally when I heard about PFC I was really excited to have that type of community and environment here!

I have been an interim board member since November and have really enjoyed learning about the start-up process and more about what makes a co-op tick. I am looking forward to continuing working with the board and seeing PFC grow.

What else would you like Prairie Food owners to know about you?

I am almost 7 months pregnant so my time commitment this summer may not be very robust. That being said, I am still willing to be involved and help out when I can. As I get more settled with baby and back into a groove, I will be able to devote more time to PFC.
