Prairie Food Co-op Community Grocery

Community Solar Q&A

Community Solar Farms are the future of green, affordable energy for everyone. They consist of large arrays of solar panels built in rural areas that generate electricity which feeds directly into our existing energy grid. Prairie Food Co-op is excited to offer our Owners an easy and informed way to tap into the Community Solar Farms in Illinois - and to top things off, with every Owner that signs up, PFC will receive a donation from our solar partners.

Please visit our Community Solar page for more details on the program.

We're inviting anyone who is interested in this program to attend our upcoming program overview and Q&A Zoom session with our Community Solar Partner, Michael Wisniewski. Michael will cover the following:

  • What Community Solar is and how it works
  • How to enroll in the program
  • Answer any questions you have about the program or powering your home with solar power

We hope you can join us in PFC's ongoing efforts to have a lasting positive impact on our greater community.

Note: PFC Ownership is not required to participate in the Community Solar Program, but you may be contacted about becoming an Owner if you sign up!
